Learner support may be available to assist you with:
- Literacy (reading and writing)
- English as a second language
- Computing skills
- Communication skills.
Depending on your needs, learner support can be provided:
- At our 'drop-in' or flexible learning centres
- In small groups
- As one-to-one tuition.

Sydney TAFE Counsellors can assist you in identifying learning difficulties and learning disabilities. They will work with you to assess your needs, develop strategies to help you or refer you to other services that may help. Specialised disabilities support is available to people with a disability or people from language backgrounds other than English.
We have English language support available if you need language help while you are studying. There also informal opportunities to improve your English through participating in Student Association activities or our libraries' English conversation and reading groups.
YourTutor is your one-to-one, online, on-demand study help centre. It’s free for all Sydney TAFE students.
You can connect live with a personal tutor from the comfort of your home or any Sydney TAFE campus, between 3:00pm – midnight Sunday to Friday, to ask questions and get help when you need it, or upload your writing drafts and receive feedback within 24 hours. Connect to a tutor for free, via your course Moodle or Student Portal
You'll have access to online support with your homework, assignments, essays and/or English skills as well as for subjects including business, health, science, maths, accounting and economics.
