Sydney Institute Advisory Council (IAC)
Membership of the Sydney Institute Advisory Council (SIAC) is voluntary. Selection and recommendation of Council members is made by the Institute Director. Membership is submitted to the Managing Director of TAFE NSW. Council membership is approved by the Minister, Education and Training.
Sydney Institute Consultative Council (SICC)
Membership of the Sydney Institute Consultative Committee (SICC) is voluntary. The SICC consists of 12 members. Members are nominated by Sydney Institute management or are staff nominees as determined by the appropriate trade unions.
Sydney Institute Student Association Council (SISA)
Sydney Institute Student Association Council (SISA) consists of 16 members including student Presidents of College Student Association Boards. The SISA Council also receives advice from Institute and Regional managers as required.
The Executive has executive management responsibility for the Institute and is the peak decision-making body on strategic and operational matters. Institute Standing Committees report to the Executive and are permanent committees delegated responsibility by the Sydney Institute Executive to make recommendations and decisions on educational and operational services as they address significant strategic Institute business aims and objectives.
Audit & Enterprise Risk Management Committee
The Audit & Enterprise Risk Management Committee supports the Executive by overseeing policies and procedures related to reporting and disclosure, the quality, adequacy and scope of external and internal audits and compliance with reporting requirements.
Brand Management Committee
The Brand Management Committee supports the Executive through building and leveraging brand equity and setting priorities for brands and resources
Education & Business Innovation Committee
The Education & Business Innovation Committee supports the Executive by establishing best practices in our business model and to promote innovation in delivery, products and support services.
Finance Strategy Committee
The Finance Strategy Committee supports the Executive in making financial decisions by analysing and reviewing Sydney Institute’s budget and making recommendations.
Higher Education Committee
The Higher Education Committee supports the Executive by providing direction in the development, delivery and establishment of best practice in higher education.
Work Health & Safety (WH&S) Committee
The Work Health & Safety (WH&S) Committee manages Institute WH&S strategies and compliance.
The Sustainability Committee supports the Executive by providing direction on environmental, social and educational strategies to ensure the sustainability of the organisation.
