Eora College is holding an Open Day as part of TAFE NSW Open Week.
Eora College is a small, friendly college with a buzz of creative energy. It is renowned in Sydney as a centre for Aboriginal culture with training in Aboriginal languages, creative and performing arts, Aboriginal culture and much more.
Pop in to 333 Abercrombie Street, Chippendale NSW anytime between 9am and 4pm and explore Eora’s facilities, meet staff and teachers, and learn about exciting courses on offer. There’ll also be individual study and career advice available.
There will also be two sessions of 'Eora – its past present and future'. This look back at the amazing history of Eora College, its place in the Redfern community and its unique learning opportunities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students will be presented at 11am and again at 2pm.
Plus, a free BBQ at 12pm! Come and share a feed and check out Eora.
If you’re Indigenous, TAFE NSW and Eora College will provide an education and training environment that you may not have found before. Together, we will find out if there have been barriers to learning you have encountered in the past, and help you find a pathway to your future. Teachers at Eora are passionate, dedicated and ready to work with you, and many might be from your country too!
If you’re not Indigenous, join our learning journey. Everyone is welcome to study with us and to learn new things in ways that might be new to you.
Remember that Sydney TAFE’s Aboriginal Education Training Unit, Yulang, provides support for Aboriginal people to access TAFE courses that will further enhance education and employment prospects. Yulang works closely with Eora College, so ask about tailored tutorial assistance that can be provided, including help with course work.
