"The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care CHC30113 is the minimum qualification required to work in an education and care service,” says Debbie Zappia, a child studies head teacher at Sydney TAFE. “Although there are no entry requirements for this qualification, you will need passion for a growing career, and a willingness to learn, to be challenged, and to embrace an amazing industry.”
The certificate III course lays the foundations for a great children’s services career. Participants can then choose to use credit from the certificate to move directly into the second stage of the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
The Early Childhood Education and Care (Birth to 5) degree can cap off education and training in children’s services. The early childhood bachelor degree is a four-year professional degree that can prepare people to work as early childhood teachers in a number of settings. People may also be able to build a pathway to this degree through related Sydney TAFE courses, including the certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care course and the upcoming Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
