Counselling and career development

As part of Sydney TAFE, Sutherland College - Gymea Campus offers educational, personal and career counselling services. If you are thinking of enrolling at Gymea our counsellors can help you with:

  • Choosing the right course programs and subjects
  • Planning your career and re-training, and
  • Other concerns or questions about returning to study.

This confidential service is offered free-of-charge to help you choose the right study or training pathway.

In addition to career and course counselling, personal and educational counselling is available free-of-charge to our enrolled students.

Learning and English language support

We can help you with the literacy, numeracy, language, maths, science, computing, communication and other learning skills you need for your studies.

Library research help

Professional, experienced librarians deliver training in referencing, database use and a range of information literacy skills. Learn more about the Gymea TAFE library.


On-campus Wi-Fi access is available to enrolled students. Access information is provided during orientation.

Aboriginal support

Our Aboriginal education and training unit is known as Yulang. Yulang's Aboriginal staff are available to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with advice and support while studying at our colleges.
