    Course description and aims

    This course is designed to introduce the learner to Special Effects prosthetics for film, stage and events in the form of creating a monster mask.

    The course will take the learner through the prosthetics process, stage by stage, which will include research and design, sculpting, making a plaster mould, casting in latex and rendering.

    You will need to attend approximately 3 hours of class over 1 day a week for 9 weeks. Indicative timetable: Orientation, Wednesday, 11 October 2017 from 6:00pm, then Saturday, 1:00pm to 4:00pm, from 14 October 2017.
