    Course description and aims

    This practical course is designed to introduce the learner to Special Effects Make-up for film, stage and events. The course will take the learner through appropriate WHS for make-up application and removal, a potted history of makeup styles and the creation of special effects for example aging, disfigurements like cuts, bruises and burns and the creation and application of simple prosthetic elements like horns and facial growths.

    You will need to attend approximately 2 hours of class 1 evening per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Wednesday 6:00pm to 8:00pm or Wednesday 4:00pm to 6:00pm
