    Course description and aims

    Enhance the skills you acquired doing Introduction to Jewellery Making by enrolling in this second introductory course. You will have the opportunity to design and make a series of sterling silver rings.

    Designs are based on individual interpretation of a given theme. You will learn to generate innovative ideas which combine creativity with functionality.

    The course will further develop your sawing, filing and soldering skills. You will learn about hollow forming and hollow construction methods used for the production of the rings. You will also learn how to use polishing motors to finish off the objects you make.

    For this course you will need to provide your own precious metals and basic jewellery consumables. A list will be provided to you when you register for the course.

    Introduction to Jewellery Making 2 follows on from Jewellery Making 1. Please complete Jewellery Making 1 before enrolling in Jewellery Making 2.
    Jewellery Making 1 is also being offered with a start date of 24 February 2018.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day a week for 5 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm.
