The Ultimo TAFE library provides study space, computers and photocopiers/printers for your convenience.

Computers and internet access

Computers and internet access are provided to currently enrolled students.

All the computers are connected to 

  • the internet which you can access using your DEC username and password.
  • printers.

Wifi – wireless internet access is available. Log in using your DEC username and password.

The Online Communication Services – TAFE NSW Code of Expected User Behaviour (PDF 40KB) applies to all users of TAFE NSW computer networks.

Photocopiers and printers

A variety of photocopying and printing options are available:

  • Black and white, and colour photocopying and printing are available. 
  • Student Association members receive a 50% discount.
  • Add money to your registered TAFEcard to photocopy and print. Facilities are available to add money to your card; however the library does not provide change.

Wifi printing

The LearnSpace area offers Sydney TAFE students access to electronic sources of information and educational technology. It is located on the ground floor of Ultimo College library, Building D.

Other facilities also located in the LearnSpace:

  • The Adaptive Technology Access Centre (ATAC)  
  • A 'connected classroom'
  • Learner Support – Flexible Learning Centre (FLC).

Adaptive Technology Access Centre (ATAC)

The ATAC provides specialist equipment and software for people with disabilities. To access the ATAC, students need to be introduced by the Disabilities Coordinator.

Connected classrooms

Room DG.40 in the LearnSpace is a connected classroom. It is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and video conferencing facilities.

Learner Support – Flexible Learning Centre (FLC)

The Flexible Learning Centre is located on the Ground level (LearnSpace). This Centre is operated by the General Education teaching section to provide assistance in these areas:

  • Adult basic education
  • English communication
  • English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)
  • Humanities
  • Mathematics
  • Science.

To use the computers located near the Learner Support area you must be registered with the FLC.

Group study rooms

Students may use group study rooms for group work. To make a booking, visit the library information desk or ph: 02 9217 3317.


Equipment is available for use in the library:

  • Televisions
  • DVD players
  • CD players
  • Scanners.

You can also borrow iPads and Netbooks for up to one day. Visit the information desk for details.
