Child care

If you are a parent, child care facilities are available while you attend your Petersham TAFE course. Fees are determined by the number of hours that your child attends a child care centre. You may be able to get fee assistance through Centrelink.

About our child care centre

Petersham TAFE's child care centre is an SDN Children’s Education and Care Centre.

There are two comfortable rooms and there is a lovely outdoor environment. The outdoor space includes two separate shaded areas, one of which offers a ‘rainforest walk’ through palm trees.

Our staff

Staff in each of the two rooms are TAFE-trained early childhood educators and they are supervised by a university-educated early childhood teacher. Centre staff speak a number of community languages including, Chinese (Mandarin and Shanghainese), Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Greek.
