    Course description and aims

    This course is designed for the participants to learn camera operating skills, and enhance their photos to improve the final result.

    The course will include setting up a camera, taking accurate photos, and use of Photoshop to fix minor faults.

    Course objective is to introduce fundamental photographic skills in order to continue study into Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging course.

    Working in the Digital photography industry as a photographer or photography related employment.

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Thursday, 8 March 2018 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Ultimo College, cnr Harris & Thomas St Ultimo, Building F, Level 1, Room F1.40.

    Classes begin on Thursday, 15 March 2018 from 9:00am to 3:30pm.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day per week for 7 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Thursday, 9:00am to 3:30pm.

    This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you won't have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.

    If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee $1320.

    Other Information:

    Learners will be required to provide their own DSLR or digital rangefinder camera with full manual controls; portable hardrive approx 500GB and have a computer with basic imaging software to complete this course.
