    Course description and aims

    This course is intended for developers with experience in the Swift programming language and having completed the Develop iPhone Apps with Swift (Introductory) course.
    Here you combine your skills learnt from introductory and develop a sophisticated app while implementing other API and SDK features.

    In this two-part course, Part 1 will cover:

    1. Core Data Relationships
    2. QR Barcode Capturing
    3. Dependencies with CocoaPods
    4. Web Requests and JSON Handling
    5. Calendar Integration with EventKit

    This Two-Part course rounds up and solidifies your skills and knowledge around iOS development using Swift. On completion of this course you become proficient in intermediate and advanced topics of handling complex operations and constructs. You may choose to further your skills by taking our Develop Web APIs with Swift course.

    Range from UX Designer, Analyst Programmer, Web Developer, Tester and a number of other potentially rewarding careers provided you stay current with the latest industry trends.

    Successful completion of Develop iPhone Apps with Swift (Introductory) Part 1 and 2, is required.

    INFORMATION SESSION

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Wednesday, 4 October 2017 at 6:00pm at Ultimo College, Main Campus, Thomas Street Ultimo, Building G, Ground Level, Room GG.19.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 9 hours of class over 3 days per week for two weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Tuesday and Thursday, 1:30pm to 4:30pm and Saturday 10:00am to 4:30pm.
