    Course description and aims

    This course will offer an overview of the fundamentals of web development, HTML5 and CSS3.
    You will cover the basics of a markup language, how to structure a webpage and the way to style the elements.

    You will cover the following topics:
    1. HTML5 vs HTML4.1 vs XML
    2. HTML Page Structure
    3. HTML Elements and Attributes
    4. HTML Forms
    5. CSS Syntax
    6. CSS Selectors

    This is Part 3 of a Four (4) Part bridging course suite in preparation for Diploma of Systems Analysis and Design or Advanced Diploma of Business Analysis.

    Basic understanding of concepts and techniques in HTML and CSS as required in the skill set for an occupation in the field of System Analysis and Design.

    This course is available to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents who are over 15 years of age, have left school and live or work in NSW.

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Wednesday, 11 April 2018 at 2.00pm or 6.00pm at Ultimo College, Main Campus, Thomas Steet, Ultimo, Building G, Ground Level, Room GG.19.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day a week for 4 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Friday, 10:00am to 4.30pm.

    This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you won't have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.

    If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee $1070.00.
