Web Development Essentials - Part 1 course details
Course description and aims
In this Two Part course, Part 1 will cover:
1. HTML page sections
2. HTML Elements (paragraphs, headings, images, links, etc.)
3. Mark up and format text
4. Add links and images
5. Design elements - colour, background, and page layout
6. How to style the HTML page with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
7. How to apply CSS to parts of a web page, for altering the style of it
Once completed the applicants can expect to become proficient in the following tasks:
* Create a web page using HTML elements
* Be able to apply CSS (style sheet rules) to parts of a web page, for altering display and behaviour
This course will provide a starting point for learning the basics of web development. After completing this course you become fully equipped to dive deep into our more advanced web development courses (Java or C#).

You will need to attend approximately 9 hours of class over 2 to 3 days a week for 2 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Monday and Wednesday, 1:30pm to 4:30pm; plus one full Saturday 10:00am to 4:30pm.
