    Course description and aims

    This course is targeted at applicants who may have trained for the fashion industry and need to upskill in digital technical drawing to enhance employment options as a production assistant in the fashion industry. Students will learn the essentials of production technical drawing in a completely digital environment:

    Working with finalised technical drawings, scanned or digitally developed fabric swatches and inspirational imagery to assist the company's fashion designer as they prepare to launch their ranges for marketing. A digital production assistant is also required to digitally format and layout the fashion designers storyboards for promotion and marketing and needs to understand the essentials of working with the Adobe suite in a fashion industry context.

    You will need to attend approximately 3.5 hours of class a week over 1 day per week for 1 semester. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Wednesday, 6:00pm to 9.30pm
