    Course description and aims

    In this course you will learn camera operating skills, and editing their photos to improve the final result. The course will introduce Lightroom to catalogue and edit photos.

    The course objective is to introduce fundamental photographic skills in order to continue study into Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging.

    Working in the Digital photography industry as a photographer or photography related employment.

    This course is available to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents who are over 15 years of age, have left school and live or work in NSW.

    About offering:

    Learners will be required to provide their own DSLR or digital rangefinder camera with full manual controls; portable hardrive approx 500GB and have a computer with basic imaging software to complete this course.

    Please attend the mandatory orientation sessions to meet teachers on Saturday, 13 January 2018 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Ultimo College, cnr Harris & Thomas St Ultimo, Building F, Level 1, Room F1.40.

    Classes begin on Saturday, 20 January 2018 from 9.00am to 3:30pm.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class a week over 1 day per week for 7 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 9:00am to 3:30pm.
