    Course description and aims

The world we live, work and play in increasingly involves computers, tablets and smart phones. We use these to view, create and share a variety of media like photos, videos, and music. Libraries are instrumental assisting customers to use these technologies in a variety of ways.

Libraries themselves produce in-house multimedia products like educational and promotional videos, as well as digitising materials for new and exciting online collections.
Social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs and Instagram are used to communicate and engage with clients.
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to use a range of multimedia, apps, programs and equipment as well as investigating libraries and social media.
