    Course description and aims

    The ability to lead effectively is based on a number of key skills and this series of face-to-face interactive workshops will help you develop or hone those skills.
    Effective talented leaders are highly sought after by employers as they are able to deal with people in such a way as to motivate, enthuse and build respect.
    Leadership roles are all around us, not just in a work environment – you can apply this skill set in so many day-to-day situations.
    The skills can be applied anywhere you are required to take the lead, professionally, socially and at home in family settings.
    On completion of this short course you will receive the Statement of Attainment in Leadership Skills and hold the following units of competency:

    BSBLDR403 Lead team effectiveness
    BSBLDR402 Lead effective workplace relationships
    BSBLDR401 Communicate effectively as a workplace leader
    BSBMGT402 Implement operational plan

    Articulation

    Successful students can continue on to the Certificate IV in Business or Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

    Entry requirements

    This is a fully subsidised short course. To access government-subsidised training in TAFE NSW, including fee exemptions or concessions, you must be:
    an Australian citizen or meet the criteria of being an Australian permanent resident, a humanitarian visa holder, or a New Zealand citizen
    aged 15 years or older
    no longer be at school and
    living or working in NSW OR
    registered as a NSW apprentice or new entrant trainee.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class a week over 1 day per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Workshop dates are: 2nd,9th Dec, 3rd Feb and 10th Feb.
