    Course description and aims

    An audit can not only reduce the risk of business failure but also equips businesses with an understanding of how to develop management practices that enable them to grasp opportunities while mitigating risk.
    Because of this auditing skills are in high demand; they are essential for continued business growth and prosperity in the marketplace.
    If you want to learn the basics of auditing and acquire some valuable skills, then this is a great course to undertake. In this short practical course you will learn how to initiate, participate and lead a quality audit and how to write a report on the audit process.
    You will also be achieving the following units of competence:

    1. BSBAUD501 Initiate a quality audit
    2. BSBAUD504 Report on a quality audit
    3. BSBAUD503 Lead a quality audit
    4. BSBAUD402 Participate in a quality audit

    On successful completion of this course you can then proceed to the BSB51615 Diploma Quality Auditing

    Please note this is a fully government subsidised course at Sydney TAFE, which means the government will pay your fees for you.
    To enrol in a fully government subsidised course you must:
    be aged 15 years or older
    have completed year 10 (or its equivalent)

    About offering:

    Workshops will be held over four Saturdays at St George College – Building F, Lower Ground, Room 22, Cnr Princes Highway and President Ave, Kogarah 2217. Workshop dates are: 18th Nov, 2nd Dec, 9th Dec and 16th Dec. Between each workshop you will be expected to engage in the assessment tasks and complete work outside of class. The teacher will set weekly work for you to complete. This will contribute to your assessment tasks and course completion.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class a week over 4 Saturdays. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm
