    Course description and aims

    All business owners have responsibilities regarding health and safety in the workplace and need to understand WHS Acts, regulations and codes of practice and workers' compensation requirements. In the Statement of Attainment in Workplace Health and Safety you will be learning about hazards and risks; understanding, managing and working with the differences. You will also be learning about Work Health and Safety Legislation and systems and how to navigate your way around them. On completion of this Statement of Attainment you will be awarded competent in the following units:
    • BSBWHS402 Assist with compliance with WHS laws
    • BSBWHS405 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
    • BSBWHS404 Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
    • BSBWHS409 Assist with workplace monitoring processes
