    Course description and aims

    This course is focused on the safety skill set, including the “Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (i.e. GHS) taking effect in January 2017, required by those working in the waste management sector of Logistics Industry.
    Completion of this course will also provide a pathway into, and credit towards the following four units of competency of the Certificate IV in Logistics (TLI42016):
    • BSBWHS401: Implement & monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements
    • TLIF4014: Develop and maintain a safe workplace
    • TLIF4065: Ensure compliance with Australian Dangerous Goods Code
    • TLIP4003: Implement, maintain and evaluate dangerous goods transport procedures within the workplace

    Entry requirements

    To be eligible for training subsidised by the NSW Government, you must be:
    • 15 years old or over,
    • no longer at school,
    • living or working in NSW, and
    • an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.

    Saturday 27 May 2017 from 9:30am to 2:30pm at St George College, Main Campus, Cnr Princes Highway & President Avenue, Kogarah, Building F, Ground Floor, Room FG.24

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 5 hours of class over 1 day per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday 9:30am to 2:30pm
