    Course description and aims

    This qualification reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products.

    VOLUME OF LEARNING

    Online each week via the moodle. You will need to spend approximately between 6 to 12 hours per week completing activities and assessment tasks as per the course timetable. As this is a blended delivery course, course work will be made available to you on Thursdays, LIVE webinars will be held on Thursdays from 6.30pm and any scheduled workshops will be held on Thursdays commencing at 6pm on campus. There will be scheduled LIVE webinars throughout the delivery of each unit. There will also be non compulsory attendance workshops on Campus at Gymea College.     INFORMATION SESSION

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    There will be a pre-enrolment Information Session held on Wednesday 11th April 2018 at 6:00pm at Sutherland College, Gymea Campus, corner of Hotham Road and The Kingsway Gymea, Building A, room AG01. If you want to find out whether this course best suits your career plan, please attend.

    An earlier information session will be held on: Wednesday 31st January 2018 at 6:00pm at Sutherland College, Gymea Campus, Building A, Ground Floor, Room AG01 if you want information about this course this year. NOTE workshops are held at St George campus once you enrol.

    Duration: 20 weeks

    Selection criteria:

    At times, the assessment requirements of this course will require you to undertake ‘real work’ performance activities in an RTO or VET environment. If you do not work in an RTO or VET environment, you will need to organise to undertake these assessment requirements in such an environment. Please advise if you will be able to organise this aspect of the assessments.

    Indicative timetable:

    If you choose a flexible delivery course you will study in both the classroom and through online or distance learning. How much is delivered in which way depends on your specific course.

    Online each week via the moodle. You will need to spend approximately between 6 to 12 hours per week completing activities and assessment tasks as per the course timetable.
