    Course description and aims

    This course is aimed at highly skilled senior managers who combine a broad range of hospitality skills with specialised managerial skills and substantial knowledge of industry to coordinate hospitality operations. It will teach you to operate with significant autonomy and be responsible for making strategic business management decisions.

    This qualification leads to a wide range of career options in any hospitality industry sector and for a diversity of employers including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafs, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, cookery, food and beverage and gaming.

    Area manager or operations manager, cafe owner or manager, club secretary or manager, executive/head chef, executive housekeeper, executive sous chef, food and beverage manager, motel owner or manager, rooms division manager.

    Wednesday, 21 June 2017, from 11:00am to 1:00pm OR 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Ultimo College, Cnr Harris Street and Thomas Street, Building E, Level 7, The Apprentice Restaurant.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 20 hours of class a week over 4 days. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Monday to Tuesday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

    This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan (VSL). If you meet the VSL eligibility and academic suitability requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee.     The loan cap for this course is $5,000. This means the maximum amount you can borrow for each unit of study is $1,000, and you will need to directly pay the remaining $1,548 for each Unit of Study.
