    Course description and aims

    If you work in the events industry and youÂ’d like to earn a nationally recognised qualification or youÂ’d like to move into the industry but you need more skills and practical experience to beat the competition, this course is for you. ItÂ’s designed for people who want to work as an events manager, festival manager, sports events manager, arts events manager, corporate events manager or in a similar role.

    YouÂ’ll learn how to plan, organise, execute and evaluate an event in a professional capacity. YouÂ’ll also develop a wide range of management, budgetary and event-specific skills, such as selecting appropriate venues, developing event concepts, risk management, operational planning and event-specific project management.

    Wednesday, 21 June from 11:00am to 1:00pm or 5:00pm to 7:00pm 2017 at Sutherland College, Loftus Campus, Building F, Rawson Av, Level 1, Room F1.16.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 20 hours of class a week over 4 days for 18 weeks (Terms 1 and 2) and 16 hours of class a week over three days in Term 3.
