    Course description and aims

    This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in the sport and recreation industry in a management or organisational capacity. Learners with this level of competency have a high degree of autonomy and manage the effective provision of services or programs in locations such as fitness centres, sporting grounds or complexes, leisure and aquatic centres and community recreation centres.

    This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan (VSL). If you meet the VSL eligibility and academic suitability requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.

    The loan cap for this course is $10,000. This means the maximum amount you can borrow for each unit of study is $2,500, and you will need to directly pay the remaining $43 for each Unit of Study.

    Learning is self paced, the course is designed to be completed by people working full time in the Sport and Recreation Industry. If you are not working in the industry it is expected you will gain a volunteer role if you are not already doing so. Many assessments are relevant to every day tasks learners may be undertaking in their work role.
