    Course description and aims

    This qualification reflects the role of retail sales personnel involved in a defined range of tasks to sell and demonstrate beauty or cosmetic products. They follow known routines and procedures and work under direct supervision.

    This qualification provides a pathway to work as a retail sales consultant in any business that sells beauty or cosmetic products and services. This can include beauty and hairdressing salons, retail outlets and department stores.

    No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Wednesday 6 December 2017 and Wednesday 24 January 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm or 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Sutherland College, Gymea Campus, Corner of Hotham Road and Kingsway, Building A, Level 2, Room A2.14.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 10 hours of class a week over 3 days per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is Monday to Tuesday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Wedneday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

    This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to Sydney TAFE and the government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

    A make up kit will be required to successfully complete this course and will cost approximately $495. You will receive the kit information at your first class. Additionally as part of your assessment you will be required to do a photoshoot at the cost of $110.
