    Course description and aims

    This is a beginner workshop. The learner will gain skills and knowledge to complete pencil & ink trade drawings to illustrate and identify the design features such as seams, pleats, stitching, zipperÂ’s, pockets and silhouettes of basic styles using trade templates.

    At The end of this course students will be able to:
    * Identify and describe design features
    * Use pencil and pigment liners to draw and outline garments and design features
    * Use standard Coquis to draw a proportioned garment
    * Use drawing tools to create a professional trade drawing

    Completing Fashion Trade Drawing Workshop 1 will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered Professional Development addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

    Course outcomes and careers

    This is an endorsed NESA course providing endorsed professional development for primary and secondary school teachers.

    TAFE NSW is endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient level.
