Create and Explore Concepts in Aboriginal Art course details
Course description and aims
Participants will explore the diverse range of Aboriginal art, investigate the meanings behind specific Aboriginal art forms, both contemporary and traditional, and produce an art work that draws inspiration from these concepts and techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to create an Aboriginal inspired art work that they can take back to the classroom to share with students and colleagues.
Eora College is well known as a centre of excellence for Aboriginal studies and as a culturally safe, competent and sound place of learning that actively promotes Aboriginal education being managed and delivered by professional Aboriginal educators in many fields.
Completing 'Concepts and Techniques within Aboriginal Art' will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.4.2, 2.1.2, 2.4.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

You will need to attend 6 hours of class over 1 day. An indication of how your timetable may look is: Monday: 10:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
