Course description and aims
This course will give you understanding of Apple OSX installation, upgrade, and migration of user-related data and settings from an earlier version. It includes configuration of disks, partitions, volumes, and device drivers to enable Apple devices. It also provides understanding of file access and printers setting, network and internet connectivity both wired and wireless.
In addition, it provides an introduction to client desktop computers security, optimisation and maintaining of the performance and reliability of Apple client computer.
Completing Introduction to operating system (Apple platform) will contribute 48 hours of NESA Registered Professional Development addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Course outcomes and careers
Enrol at any location
You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class a week over 2 sessions per week for 8 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look like this: Friday, 10:00am to 1:00pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm
