Course description and aims
This course will cover research skills for a wide variety of digital sources including subscription databases and open source materials via the internet.
Learners will be introduced to a range of sources that they will be able to access and use after the course. They will be taught search strategies that will assist them in locating relevant information from reliable and authoritative sources. These skills and knowledge will be transferable to the classroom. This training is suitable for primary and high school teachers and teacher-librarians. You will have hands on experience in class.
Completing Teaching research skills in today's digital environment will contribute 9 hours of NESA Registered Professional Development addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Enrol at any location
You will need to attend 3 hours of class over 1 evening per week for 3 weeks. Indicative timetable: Thursday, 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
