    Course description and aims

    In this short course you will sculpt a prosthetic/mask & cast in plaster.

    * Workshop 1- The learner will explore sculpting a face prosthetic/mask in modelling clay and cast in plaster. Create the prosthetic in Latex and render.
    * Workshop 2- The learner will create the face prosthetic/mask in latex and render in paint.

    Completing Prosthetics for school productions and events will contribute 12 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

    Course outcomes and careers

    This is an endorsed NESA course. TAFE NSW is endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient level.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class a week over 1 day per week for 2 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
