Course description and aims
Basic sewing skills for costume making for school productions and events. You will learn how to set up and use sewing machines and overlockers.
At the end of this course students will be able to:
- Understand basic sewing machine and overlocker operations
- be familiar with sewing techniques
Completing Sewing techniques for school shows and events will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.
Thursday, 23 March 2017 from 6:00pm onwards at Design Centre Enmore, 110 Edgeware Road Enmore
You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Tuesday, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
