Course description and aims
Participants will learn how to develop a collection of costumes for a show or event.
the course includes:
-Putting together simple design solutions - establishing the look of the production
-how and where to source existing garments
-simple fabric manipulation and accessorizing
-producing style boards with swatches.
The next course that learners can attend is 'Sewing techniques for school shows and events' for those who want to produce costumes.
At the end of this course students will be able to:
- Establish a costume look for a school production
- source and adjust garments to create costumes
- produce a style board for the production
Completing Styling Costumes for school shows and events will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Thursday 23 March 2017 from 6:00pm at Design Centre Enmore, 110 Edgeware Road Enmore, Building G, Room GG10.
You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Thursday, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
