Course description and aims
This course will investigate Puppet design and making.
The learner will design and make a simple articulated puppet character to illustrate a text with a view to teaching the process to students.
The learner will experiment with the manipulation of a simple articulated puppet character for use in a school performance.
At the end of this course students will be able to:
- Identify different types of Puppetry
- Design and construct a simple articulated puppet
Completing Make Puppets for School Productions will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.
Thursday 23 March 2017 from 6:00pm at Design Centre Enmore, 110 Edgeware Road Enmore, Building D, Room DG01
You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day per week for 2 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Thursday, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
