    Course description and aims

This dental prosthetics technology course will give you the skills and knowledge to work in a dental laboratory as a dental technician. You will learn how to design, construct, modify and repair dental prostheses and appliances; diagnose and solve technical problems which arise with materials and work techniques; and construct dentures, bridges, crowns and other dental appliances.

For students seeking to complete a First Aid unit of competency as part of their program, you must be able to perform basic life support skills, for example control bleeding and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
