    Course description and aims

    This course is designed for people looking for a career as a bookkeeper or for those currently performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries.

    Students undertaking this program will learn to establish and maintain manual and computerised accounting systems, as well as how to complete Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other business-related financial records (see note).

    You will also learn how to develop bookkeeping management systems for organisations, and gains skills in a variety of general administration tasks.

    Note: Providing a business activity statement (BAS) service requires registration with the Tax Practitioners Board and this qualification is recognised as meeting the educational requirements for registration.

    INFORMATION SESSION

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Tuesday 6 June, 2017 from 6:00pm at Ultimo College, Main Campus, 651-731 Harris Street, Ultimo, Building G, Level 1, Room G1.16.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 11 hours of class a week over 3 days per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30pm-9:30pm.
