Course description and aims
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use wide-ranging analytical, technical, creative, conceptual and managerial skills in their chosen field in the music industry. Their knowledge base may be specialised or broad. These individuals are sometimes accountable for group outcomes.
This qualification provides for the specialisation in Sound Production.

ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION
This Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION) builds on skills developed in the Diploma of Sound Production (Electric Music Production). You will gain much higher skills and experience in producing finished music masters, as well as songwriting, Ableton, stagecraft, mixing, mastering, recording studio and even making music videos on your smart phone.
Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.
6:30pm to 7:30pm, every Tuesday, every week, except for the holiday period of 18 December 2017 to 12 January 2018, at Ultimo College, Building M, Level 1, Room M1.07, Mary Ann Street Ultimo.

TAFE ULTIMO MUSIC OPEN DAYS
Saturday 2 December, Tuesday 5 December 2017, Saturday 20 January and Tuesday 23 January 2018 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at Ultimo College, Building M, Level 1, Room M1.07, Mary Ann Street Ultimo.
Includes course info sessions, career advice, free sample classes, auditions, interviews, tours of studios, performance rooms and computer labs, and enrolment help.

You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class a week over 3 days. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30am to 4:30pm; plus occasional performances in night clubs.

PAYMENT OPTIONS AND ASSISTANCE
This course is approved for a Commonwealth VET Student Loan (VSL). If you meet the VSL eligibility and academic suitability requirements, you are able to apply to the Commonwealth for a loan to cover all or part of your course fee. We will ask you whether you would like to apply for a VET Student Loan when you enrol and advise you of the process.
