    This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

    This course provides a ‘Diploma (AQF5)’ advanced level qualification and is targeted specifically to fill recognised construction management skill gaps inherent to property development, medium rise building projects and the facilities maintenance sector.
    There are no compulsory entry requirements into this course but it is preferred to have at least a diploma of building and construction and / or relevant medium-rise building industry experience.
    This course and qualification will focus upon the successful management of delivery of medium rise building and construction projects both residential and commercial.
    This course focuses on cost, time, quality, human resources, communication, and risk issues that are imperative to the project management skills required by the building and construction industry.
    Upon successful completion of this course, it is intended that graduates can choose to apply for admission to an Advanced Diploma level qualification (AQF6) in Building and Construction Management or Construction Project Management to further enhance career opportunities in high-rise construction projects.

    INFORMATION SESSION

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Tuesday, 30 January 2018, at 6:00pm at Ultimo College, Thomas Street, Building G, Level 4, Room G4.16.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 7 hours of class a week over 1 day. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.
