    Course description and aims

    This course provides advanced diagnostic training for automotive technicians who wish to further develop their technical skills in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

    Topics include servicing and repairing complex faults in petrol engines, working with engine management systems, transmission and driveline systems, and braking systems.

    Those undertaking the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

    Wednesday 24 January 2018 between 8:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m at Ultimo College, Main Campus, Corner of Mary Ann and Wattle Street, Ultimo, Building Q, Level G, Room QG.08 (AutoCel).

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 3.5 hours of class a week over 2 nights per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00pm to 9:30pm.
