    Course description and aims

    In this Course you will develop skills and knowledge required to understand and use Japanese for commonly used expressions of an elementary nature in a business, workplace or community setting. On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
    • Be courteous to customers, colleagues and the general public in simple Japanese
    • Communicate with customers, colleagues and the general public in simple Japanese to support very simple business, workplace and community activities

    You will need to attend approximately 2 hours of class a week over 1 day per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday 10:00am to 12:00pm (TAFE vacation: Saturday 23 & 30 September 2017).

    This course is for people who already have some knowledge of spoken and written Japanese and who want to further develop their Japanese language skills for future study in Australia or Japan, or to communicate in Japanese with business colleagues, family and friends.

    In this course you will develop the Japanese language skills and knowledge required to understand and use Japanese with commonly used expressions of a very simple nature in a business, workplace or community setting. You will learn and practise very simple listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Japanese.

    On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
    • Be courteous to customers, colleagues and the general public in very simple Japanese
    • Communicate with customers, colleagues and the general public in very simple Japanese
    to support very simple business, workplace and community activities
