    Course description and aims

    In this Course you will develop skills and knowledge required to understand and use Korean for commonly used expressions of a very basic nature in a business, workplace or community setting. On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
    • Be courteous to customers, colleagues and the general public in very basic Korean
    • Communicate with customers, colleagues and the general public in very basic Korean to support very basic business, workplace and community activities

    This course is for people who have little or no knowledge of spoken and written Korean language.

    In this course you will develop the Korean language skills and knowledge required to understand and use Korean with commonly used expressions of a basic nature in a business, workplace or community setting. You will learn and practise basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Korean.

    On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
    • Be courteous to customers, colleagues and the general public in basic Korean
    • Communicate with customers, colleagues and the general public in basic Korean
    to support simple and predictable business, workplace and community activities

    Beginners DO NOT require an interview. However, if you have some experience in the language and you are not sure if the course is suitable for you, an interview is advisable. Please contact Customer Service 1300 360 601 to arrange a phone interview.

    No classes on Easter Saturday 31 March or during TAFE vacation Saturday 21 April and Saturday 28 April.

    Please finalise your full fee payment of $295 to secure your place.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 2 hours of class a week over 1 days per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 10:00am to 12:00pm. (Except TAFE Vacation: Saturday 31 March, 21 & 28 April 2018)
