    Course description and aims

    This course is designed for people wishing to retrain to enter the locksmithing industry. In the course you will learn locksmithing skills in key cutting, changing combinations of cylinders, assembling cylinders for masterkey systems, selecting and servicing locks and lock installation.

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Wednesday 6 December 2017 or Wednesday 24 January 2018 at 6:00pm at TAFE NSW Ultimo, Jones Street, Ultimo, Building P, Level 1, Room P1.37 (Locksmith Workshop)

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 7 hours of class a week over 1 days per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Friday or Saturday (TBC at Orientation session), 8:00am to 4:15pm

    If you are not an Australian citizen or permanent resident, we will contact you with the non-subsidised fee for this course during the application process.

    You will need access to specific Locksmith tools and equipment to successfully complete this course these will cost approximately $400.00.
    A list will be provided at the information session.

    Classes are part time day. 18 days, 7 hours per day, one day per week for one semester. Classes will be on a Friday or Saturday this will be confirmed at the orientation session. Classes commence on Friday 9th of February 2018 All classes will commence at 8am and finish at 4:15pm.
