AMSA Certificate of Safety Training Refresher

You will need to attend approximately 35 hours of class over 1 week. Full attendance and participation in all activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria as per AMSA requirements.

Full payment of the course fee is required 3 days prior to the start of the class.
Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances-
* TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in, or
* You formally advise the campus in writing at least 7 days prior to the start of your course that you are withdrawing.
In any other circumstances, full or partial refund of the course fee is at the discretion of the campus delegate.
Â‘If you are travelling from interstate or overseas, please ensure that you book your flights on a fully refundable basis.
Sydney TAFE reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been receive seven days from commencement of the course.

An AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) Revalidation is the mandatory requirement for revalidation of the CoST Certificate for those without the required sea-time. This must be done every five years.
The CoST Revalidation Certificate issued will be recognised by AMSA as meeting the International requirements.
The following certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course:
- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-2)
- Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-1)
