    INFORMATION SESSION

    Attend the following information session to meet with the teaching staff, discuss the course and get more information about enrolment and next steps.

    Monday 1 May 2017, at 8:30am at Ultimo College, Marcus Clark Campus, 827-837 George Street, Building W, Level 7, Room W7.42

    An AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) Revalidation is the mandatory requirement for revalidation of the CoST Certificate for those without the required sea-time. This must be done every five years. The information below is provided to you as a guide only. It is recommended you check with AMSA regarding the current requirements.

    The CoST Revalidation Certificate issued will be recognised by AMSA as meeting the International requirements.

    The following certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course:
    - Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-2)
    - Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-1)

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 56 hours of class a week over 5 days per week.

    Fee information:

    Full payment of the course fee is required 3 days prior to the start of the class.

    Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances-
    - TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in, or
    - You formally advise the campus in writing at least 7 days prior to the start of your course that you are withdrawing.

    In any other circumstances, full or partial refund of the course fee is at the discretion of the campus delegate.

    If you are travelling from interstate or overseas, please ensure that you book your flights on a fully refundable basis.
    Sydney TAFE reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been receive seven days from commencement of the course.
    Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be fully refunded as per TAFE policy.
