    This course complies with and is approved by Australian Maritime Safety Authority,
    The following certificate will be issued by TAFE to participants who successfully complete the course:
    - GMDSS General Operators Certificate Course (AMSA approved), meeting the requirements of STCW Reg IV/2 and Code Section A-IV/2
    This course will cover both practical and theory aspects of the GMDSS course. Using AMSA approved GMDSS simulation stations and live console equipment. A copy of the current GMDSS handbook will be issued to each student
    Participants are entitled to apply for a Global Maritime Distress and Safety System General OperatorÂ’s Certificate, issued by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend 64 hours of class over two weeks. Full attendance and participation in ALL activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria as per AMSA requirements. All courses commence at 8:30am

    READ BEFORE YOU ENROL

    Full payment of the course fee is required 3 days prior to the start of the class.

    Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances
    * TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in, or
    * You formally advise the campus in writing at least 7 days prior to the start of your course that you are withdrawing.
    In any other circumstances, full or partial refund of the course fee is at the discretion of the campus delegate.

    ‘If you are travelling from interstate or overseas, please ensure that you book your flights on a fully refundable basis.
    Sydney TAFE reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been receive seven days from commencement of the course.
