    This course is an AMSA approved course and meets the requirements of the STCW Code Section A-VI/6 paragraph 4.
    AMSA requirements for seafarers about security related duties onboard regulated vessels, as outlined in the STCW Manila Amendments. This qualification is suitable for persons working in the Maritime Industry who wish to revalidate their Masters or Engineering certificates as per the STCW 2010 Manila Amendments and AMSA requirements. (Deck Watchkeeper, Chief Mate, Masters Unlimited, Master less than 500 ton, 1st Class Engineer, 2nd Class Engineer and Engine Room watchkeeper). The information below is provided to you as a guide only. It is recommended you check with AMSA regarding the current requirements.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class over 1 day. Full attendance and participation in ALL activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria as per AMSA requirements

    READ BEFORE YOU ENROL

    Full payment of the course fee is required 3 days prior to the start of the class.
    Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances-
    * TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in, or
    * You formally advise the campus in writing at least 7 days prior to the start of your course that you are withdrawing.
    In any other circumstances, full or partial refund of the course fee is at the discretion of the campus delegate.

    ‘If you are travelling from interstate or overseas, please ensure that you book your flights on a fully refundable basis.
    Sydney TAFE reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been receive seven days from commencement of the course.
