    COURSE AIM
    The Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS) course has been developed to provide the knowledge, skill and understanding of ECDIS and electronic charts to the thorough extent needed to safely navigate vessels whose primary means of navigation of ECDIS. The course, is AMSA approved as meeting the requirements of STCW 78 as amended, Reg II/1 and Code Section A-II/1, Table A-II/1, Marine Order 70 and IMO Model Course 1.27. 2012 EDITION
    It provides generic training to ECDIS operators on the principles and operation of ECDIS. Course materials will be issued to students

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend 40 hours of class over five days. Full attendance and participation in ALL activities during the course will satisfy the required performance criteria as per AMSA requirements

    READ BEFORE YOU ENROL

    Full payment of the course fee is required 3 days prior to the start of the class.
    Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances-
    * TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in, or
    * You formally advise the campus in writing at least 7 days prior to the start of your course that you are withdrawing.
    In any other circumstances, full or partial refund of the course fee is at the discretion of the campus delegate.

    NOTE: If you are coming from Interstate or Overseas, please ensure that you book your flights / Accomodation on a fully refundable basis.
    Sydney TAFE reserves the right to cancel the course if insufficient registrations have been receive seven days from commencement of the course.

    Recognition is a process of acknowledging previously completed qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience relevant to your course. This may reduce the amount of learning required, reduce your course fees and allow you to achieve your qualification faster.
