    Course description and aims

    Experiment with advanced hand forming techniques and imaginatively explore
    ceramic materials and process to create sculptural and hand formed vessel forms,
    with an opportunity to participate in ceramic design studio market days and
    exhibitions. Learn to design and discuss ideas and concepts, learn to combine
    various handbuilding techniques, and learn to decorate, glaze and fire your body
    of work.

    Prospective participants should have completed an Introduction to Handbuilding
    or have equivalent level of experience.

    Wednesday, 31 January 2018 from 11.00am to 12:00pm at Sutherland College, Gymea Campus, Cnr Kingsway & Hotham Road, Gymea, Building A, Lower Ground Floor, Ceramics Studio 1.

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend 3 hours of class over 1 day per week for 9 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Friday, 10:00am to 1:00pm.

    ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

    A Basic Ceramic Tool Kit will be required to successfully complete this course and can be purchased at your first class for $15.00. If you go on to further study you may decide to extend this tool kit with extra paint brushes, tools and specialist paints.
