    Course description and aims

    This course is designed for new users of Revit Architecture. In this course you will learn about the concepts of Building Information Modelling and introduce the basic tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture. Other topics include such as how to produce 2D drawings,3D models and digital presentations using Revit Architecture software.

    The course includes:
    - Exploring the User Interface
    - Creating Floor plans
    - Creating and Modifying floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, doors, windows and levels
    - Loading, adding and modifying components families
    - Creating and modifying stairs and handrails
    - Controlling object visibility
    - Creating and modifying plan, elevation and section views
    - Creating and modifying 3D views
    - Placing dimensions and annotation
    - Creating callout views
    - Producing shadow studies
    - Setting up sheets for printing
    - Importing images and external files
    - Building 3D topographical surfaces
    - Window and Door labels
    - Rendering 3D perspectives in the cloud

    Indicative timetable:

    You will need to attend approximately 6 hours of class overone day per week. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Saturday, 3 x Saturdays 9:00 to 4:00 pm
