    Course description and aims

    This introductory course will provide participants with the underlying principles that form the science and art that is revenue management. These skills can be applied to any accommodation establishment from a caravan park, bed and breakfast or five-star hotel. This course will focus on the Rooms department of hotels however these Revenue Management skills can also be applied to Food & Beverage and Conference & Catering outlets.
    Over two nights, participants will be provided with an overview of pricing strategies, channel and distribution management, demand forecasting and Food & Beverage revenue management strategies. This workshop is classroom based with small activities to enhance the course outcomes. By the completion of the workshop, participants should be able to identify and use historic, current and future data to assess the demand for hotel rooms.
    TAFE Statement in Hospitality Yield Revenue Management - Stage 2 (165-200208V01) follows on from this workshop, building the course outcomes through a hotel simulated marketplace.

    Course outcomes and careers

    This workshop will prepare you for a career in Revenue Management either as a Revenue Manager or Analyst. Learn how to apply Revenue Management principles in the workplace to maximise profitability and target your pricing strategies.
