Food science course opens business pathway

Dijana Green studied food science at Sydney TAFE and has gone on to start her own business - Elevating Food Safety. She heads a team of food safety and process professionals that develop and deliver quality and food-safety training programs, process improvement projects and offer nutritional services.

“Sydney TAFE provided my career a great head-start in the food industry,” says Dijana.

“Making this decision significantly helped my career and fast-tracked my progress and development within the food industry.”

Satisfying food course leads leading role

Oscar Guillen completed two diplomas at Sydney TAFE, including a food technology course. He now works in environmental health at Randwick City Council, managing and mentoring a team of seven.

“I am extremely passionate about my role at Randwick City,” says Oscar.

Oscar is very positive about the educational experience he received at Sydney TAFE – from the facilities to the staff that encouraged improvement and empowered students.

“I have continued relationships with my teachers and have returned to TAFE on several occasions.”
